Following the panic caused by the second wave of COVID-19 pandemic, and the need to cushion the impact in the Custodial centers, being our primary constituency, CAPIO extended her COVID-19 emergency response to Anambra and Abia States Command of the Nigeria Correctional Service respectively and donated some PPEs.

Mr. E. Akubueze (In-Charge Awka Custodial Center)

Akubueze  the Deputy Controller of Corrections, Awka Custodial Center. During his opening remarks, Mr. Akubueze appreciated CAPIO for her forthrightness and kind gestures towards the Correctional Service. This was followed by the sensitization of Correctional Officers and inmates by the In-Charge of Medical, Dr. F. Uzo – Deputy Controller of Corrections, who informed inmates of the need to observe COVID-19 safety measures.
