MISEAN CARA’S EVALUATION TEAM VISITS CAPIO
CAPIO, the brainchild of Discalced Carmelite Order, a member organization of Misean Cara underwent an Impact Assessment of her Capacity Development Approaches both at individual (staff) and organizational level in the past five (5) years. An Evaluation Team from Misean Cara in persons of Nicole Moran and Nyokabi Kahura oversaw this assessment which happened on the 4th – 6th of November 2019.
It kicked off with a workshop facilitated by the Evaluation Team. Staff of CAPIO were introduced to capacity development and the objectives of Misean Cara. Thereafter, Staff talked about capacity development activities done over the years, by sharing experiences, challenges and learnings from various opportunities that have been utilized. Recommendations were made and good practices that can be applied by other member organizations of Misean Cara were given.
In the course of the assessment, there was a need to meet with stakeholders who have worked and partnered with CAPIO over the years. This is in line with the impact assessment of CAPIO Capacity Development by Misean Cara.
The Executive Director, Rev.Fr. Ambrose OCD, alongside the Evaluation Team interacted with stakeholders like the Enugu State Police Command, Ministry of Justice, The Judiciary, Enugu State Justice Reform Team, Correctional Service, Enugu State Command. They shared their experiences and working relationship with CAPIO to aid the measurement of impact and how far CAPIO has developed overtime.
The session helped CAPIO realized how far it has come, where it hopes to be and the needed steps to achieving her goals. CAPIO is grateful to Misean Cara for this opportunity and her numerous funding support.
