Members of the Enugu Chapter of the Police Campaign against Cultism and Other Vices (POCACOV) paid a courtesy visit to CAPIO on 16th August 2023, the team was led by the national coordinator, CSP Ebere Amaraizu. The organization reiterated its desire to continue to collaborate with CAPIO in the implementation of its work. The national coordinator maintained that ‘Prevent’ is and remains a more effective initiative to curbing the involvement of young people in crimes and other social vices. He disclosed that Prevent Policing should be the new strategy, focusing on making the human being better and relying on evidence-based policing. He added that Alternative Meaningful Pathways should be adopted to take the attention of young people away from crimes and social vices. Responding, the Executive Director of CAPIO, Rev. Fr. Jude Isiguzo commended POCACOV for its untiring resolve to rid the society of crime and pledged continued partnership with the body.
